Stationed in Xizang: Lord Zhang is a large-scale epic drama that achieves the first in-depth cross-genre integration of two intangible cultural heritage forms: Tibetan opera and Cantonese opera. The story takes the historical governance of Xizang by Zhang Yintang, the Qing Dynasty's assistant minister stationed in Xizang, as its narrative throughline, confirming the long-standing and inseparable historical ties between China's central government and the local government of Xizang.
